  1. Thoroughly wash 1/2 cup Basmati Rice 3-4 times with water. Soak in water for 30 mins.
  2. Add 1 liter (34 oz) whole milk and 1/2 cup heavy cream to a pan. Heat on high heat, stir occasionally to ensure it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. Bring it to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. Add 1/4 cup thandai masala, soaked rice without the water. Cook for 25-30 mins until milk is reduced and rice is cooked. Add more milk to adjust consistency if needed.
  4. Add 2/3 cup powdered sugar. Add more if needed as per your liking. Mix well and remove from heat.
  5. Serve hot or cold. Garnish with chopped cashews, pistachios, rose petals and enjoy
