Saffron & Date Rice Pudding
Ingredients
3 tbsp Date paste
1000 ml Milk
1/4 cup Royal basmati rice (crushed or coarsely powdered)
Saffron strands (soaked overnight in milk)
Nuts of your choice (e.g., almonds, pistachios)
1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
Rose petals for garnish
Instructions
1. In a pan, bring milk, cardamom powder, and soaked saffron to a boil.
2. Once done, add the date paste and crushed basmati rice. Simmer on low for around 20 mins or until the rice is completely cooked.
3. Adjust the consistency by adding milk, keeping in mind that it thickens as it cools.
4. Top with your favorite nuts and refrigerate.
5. Garnish with rose petals before serving. Enjoy!
